Molten Lava Cakes

Chocolate Molten Lava Cake is an ultimate winter dessert. This recipe is indulgent, rich and delicious while also containing no gluten, dairy or refined sugar.


Molten Lava Cakes


1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
2 Tbsp maple syrup
Pinch of sea salt
4 Tbsp coconut milk
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
2 eggs
1/4 cup cocoa powder
3 Tbsp ground almonds
1 Tbsp tapioca flour


  1. Preheat the oven to 210 degrees C. Prepare four ramekins with coconut oil. Dust with cocoa powder
  2. Mix together all the wet ingredients until combined. Fold through the cacao, ground almonds and tapioca flour.
  3. Divide the batter equally among the four ramekins, or 2 large ones. Place on a baking sheet and put into the oven. Bake for 8-10 minutes until set. 8 minutes if your ramekins are small and 10 if they are big. Serve warm.
