Choc dipped banana pops are a great and fun way to get your kids eating more fruit! The choc topping is made with a mixture of coconut oil, peanut butter, cacao and a little maple syrup. Nutritious and delicious!
Chocolate Banana Pops
2 Tbsp coconut oil
2 Tbsp peanut butter
1 tsp maple syrup or honey
2 tsp cacao powder or 100% cocoa powder
1 Tbsp desiccated coconut
- Peel and slice the bananas in half and insert a popsicle stick into the middle of each half. Place in the freezer for an hour.
- To make the chocolate, using a small bowl mix together the coconut oil, peanut butter, maple syrup and cacao powder.
- Dip each banana pop in the chocolate mixture then sprinkle over desiccated coconut. Serve immediately as the chocolate will solidify straight away. Otherwise, freeze and defrost for 10 minutes before serving.
