Banana and Peanut Butter Ice Cream with Magic Choc Sauce

Here is a recipe for Banana and Peanut Butter Ice Cream with a chocolate sauce that magically forms a hard, crunchy shell when poured over cold ice cream. The secret ingredient to make this sauce a success is coconut oil!

 

Banana and Peanut Butter Ice Cream with Magic Choc Sauce

Ingredients:

2 bananas, frozen
1/4 cup coconut milk
2 Tbsp peanut butter

Magic Choc Sauce Ingredients:

2 Tbsp coconut oil
2 Tbsp peanut butter
1 Tbsp cacao powder
1/2 Tbsp maple syrup

Instructions:

  1. First make the choc sauce by mixing together the coconut oil, peanut butter, cacao and maple syrup. Set aside while you make the ice cream. 
  2. Make the ice cream by blending the frozen banana, coconut milk and peanut butter. Depending on how powerful your blender is, you may need to add extra coconut milk or let the banana melt a little to allow it to blend. 
  3. Pour the ice cream into a serving bowl and top with the chocolate sauce.
